Leap Ahead in your Planning, Execution, and Culture in Fundraising

Fundraising in the 21st century is more demanding.  Donors of all ages[1] (from Gen Y to Matures) use all channels to make donations to the organizations they care about.

It’s no different for your non-profit organization.

That’s why hjc constantly emphasizes that online fundraising, websites and social media activities should be intimately and carefully coordinated with other channels (phone, mail, text, event) and other methods of fundraising (OTG, pledge, symbolic, monthly, middle, major and planned giving). President’s Message – February 2012

Corporations are organic. They are ever-changing… Constantly finding ways to become better…They can grow in different directions…By adding and subtracting, they ultimately become stronger in the marketplace that they exist.

That’s part of what I see with the recent acquisition of Convio by Blackbaud. Every successful company is relentless in finding ways to better serve their customer base and there is NO doubt that this acquisition does just that. Every company can benefit from an influx of talent, technology, and excellence. It’s no different in this case. I’m truly excited about what this can mean for the charitable sector.

I can’t wait to see what comes of this!

Tip of the Month

It’s a Leap Year and we’re pretty excited that we have an extra 24 hours this month! We’ve been dreaming about what we’d do with those extra hours if we could choose to do absolutely anything, and here they are–in 140 characters of course. And we want to know, if you could do anything, what would you do in 24 hours?

Cynthia – 24 hrs of sun surf sand: red-eye to San José. Bus to Tamarindo. Surf all morning then beers on a patio. Laze on the beach and surf again.

Matt – Absolutely anything, right? hmmm… fly to Iceland, head to Lake Mývatn and dunk myself in the hot springs with a Viking beer in hand. That’d be nice.

Laisie – Throw a 4-hr bonus party in my backyard, bonfire & smores incl. I’ll sleep in for the other 20 hours to make up for the non-leap years!
