Convio (A blackbaud company)

Convio, a Blackbaud Company

Since 2000, hjc has recognized Convio online fundraising software to be a leader in the industry. Over the last 2 years we’ve grown together in the Canadian market – and we’re excited about doing more of the same!

Why we partner with them

Convio always seems one step ahead of the curve which allows us to run extremely innovative campaigns with our clients. Some things we love about Convio…

  • They’ve opened up their software allowing us to create some amazing things for our clients like custom donation forms and beautiful event fundraising sites
  • They’ve partnered with global CRM leader Salesforce to build a highly customizable 21st century CRM
  • They’ve opened up to a network of partners to allow collaborative engagement which better serves the sector
  • They’ve helped our clients exceed their fundraising goals

President’s Message

I was surprised how relaxed I was at our 20th anniversary party. I guess that’s, in part, a testiment to the hard work of the hjc staff and the backing of our great partners: CARE2, Blackbaud, and IATS.  For me, the party was a personal reminder about where I’ve come, and hjc has come, in the fundraising journey. I chatted with Raymond Shultz who reminded me he made hjc’s first company business cards when were were still doing mainly direct mail. And I chatted with Debbie Drewett who let us do things online so long ago at the Toronto Humane Society that an email address was still a rather novel thing. All in all, the party reminded me that as a company, and personally, we’re barely beginning. I feel like I’ve just started to learn a few things about fundraising and integration. I now like to say post party that ‘we’re just getting started’ and it honestly feels that way. On to the next 20 years!
