hjc launches Convio API Donation Widget

hjc has built a series of donation widgets for our client, New York Public Library. The widget allows visitors to the Library’s website to donate to the Library through a Convio donation form without ever leaving the Library’s Drupal hosted webpage.

The widget can pop up when the user clicks on a button or it can just be continuously present on the externally hosted page. There are very few limits on how the widget can look or function.

We think the widget will have great applications for any Convio client – whether it’s for a microsite, your main website or an external site where your supporters visit. It’s hard enough to secure a donation from a website visitor without forcing people to click through various buttons to get to a donation page. With this widget it takes just a couple of minutes to make your donation and when you’re done you can be right back at the page you started at.

The widget also makes it easier to place donation asks throughout your website. When you have a case for support or an online newletter the ask and the donation form can be right at the center of the content.
